Golf Sits Second After Round One of the Charger Challenge

In an All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference affair, Goldey-Beacom is second after round one of the Charger Challenge in Suffern, NY.

Garrett Brown (Severn, MD), fellow senior Chris Mandia (Catskill, NY) and freshman Shea Murphy (Wilmington, DE) again were on their games by shooting 78, which has them tied for eighth place. Junior Andre Primeau (Pontypool, Ontario) is tied for 20th with 81 and senior Tom Hannig (Claymont, DE) is tied for 43rd with 90.

The Lightning shot 315 among the eight-team field and is just three shots in back of Concordia (NY). The top four teams are separated by six shots with Nyack at 316 and Dominican (NY) at 318.

Final-round action takes place Saturday at Spook Rock Golf Course.
