Final Round Canceled for Men’s Golf at the Navy Fall Classic

Goldey-Beacom as well as the remaining 15 teams all got on the course for the final round of the Navy Fall Classic in Annapolis, MD, but the saturated greens forced cancelation of play.

Because the round was not complete, the tournament reverts to the scores and the end of round one.

The Lightning finished tied for 12th in a tournament which 12 of the 16 teams were from Division I schools. GBC scored 307 and was tied with Division I St. Francis (PA), both closing above Navy's "B" team and St. Francis (NY). The two latter schools also compete in Division I.

Senior Chris Mandia (Catskill, NY) and freshman Shea Murphy (Wilmington, DE) ended tied for 25th with 74, senior Garrett Brown (Severn, MD) closed 54th with 78, Andre Primeau (Pontypool, ON) shot 81 and fellow junior Barry Frankel (Sykesville, MD) carded 89.

Goldey-Beacom is back in action September 30 and October 1 at the Charger Challenge in Suffern, NY.
