Garrett Brown Ends Tied for Seventh at the Glade Springs Intercollegiate

Senior Garrett Brown (Severn, MD) continued his solid start to the fall of 2016 by closing tied for seventh, propelling Goldey-Beacom at the Glade Springs Collegiate in Daniels, WV.

Brown followed his opening-round 78 with a second-round 76 and then concluded things with a 75 to shoot 229. The two-time NCAA Regional participant, who had 10 sub-80 rounds last year, ended seven shots behind Connor Sheehan from Millersville.

Junior Andre Primeau (Pontypool, ON) finished tied for 36th with 239 that included a final-round 78. His second round included a double-eagle on the par-5 fifth hole and he almost made a second albatross on the same hole in the final round.

Senior Chris Mandia (Catskill, NY) carded a second-round 78, closing tied for 65th with 246.

Freshman Shea Murphy (Wilmington, DE) shot 266 and junior Barry Frankel (Sykesville, MD) fired 285 for the Lightning, who finished 16th with 979. West Liberty shot 922 for a three-shot win over West Chester.

Goldey-Beacom is in action next Sunday and Monday at the Navy Fall Classic in Annapolis, MD.
