Men’s Golf Competes on Day One of the Dowling Tournament

Junior Garrett Brown (Severn, MD) shot 73 and sophomore Andre Primeau (Pontypool, Ontario) carded 76 as Goldey-Beacom participated on day one of the Dowling Memorial Tournament in Shoreham, NY.

Brown is tied for sixth with 73, just four shots off the pace set by John Clare from Le Moyne, and Primeau is tied for 18th. Their totals helped the Lightning card 308, which has them in ninth place after 18 holes in a very competitive field which features some of the East Region's elite squads. Le Moyne is leading the way with 288.

Chris Mandia (Catskill, NY) shot 78 for GBC, fellow junior Tom Hannig (Claymont, DE) carded 81 and sophomore Barry Frankel (Sykesville, MD) fired 83.

Final-round action takes place Saturday, beginning at 11:00 am.
