Brown and Primeau Excel for Men’s Golf at Griffin Invitational

Junior Garrett Brown (Severn, MD) closed third and sophomore Andre Primeau (Pontypool, Ontario) ended tied for seventh, pacing Goldey-Beacom at the Griffin Invitational in Avondale, PA.

Brown shot 77, his eighth sub-80 round of the season, to end five shots off the pace set by Daniel Parker of Dominican (NY). Primeau carded 79 for his eighth sub-80 round, one day after closing as the top Division II competitor during the GBC Spring Invitational with 73.

Sophomore Barry Frankel (Sykesville, MD) was tied for 34th with 89 and both junior Chris Mandia (Catskill, NY) and freshman Ryan Quigg (Sykesville, MD) closed tied for 38th with 90.

GBC was fourth with 335 and Dominican (NY) won the 13-team tournament with 311.

Goldey-Beacom this Friday and Saturday competes at the Dowling Memorial Tournament in Shoreham, NY.
