Men’s Golf Closes Sixth at the Bear Trap Dunes Invitational

Goldey-Beacom sophomore Andre Primeau (Pontypool, Ontario) shot a final-round 77 and finished tied for 21st at the Bear Trap Dunes Invitational in Ocean View, DE.

Primeau followed his opening-round 80 with his fifth sub-80 round of the season that was just three shots off his season best set October 13 at the Griffin Invitational.

Junior Garrett Brown (Severn, MD) was 26th with 160, which included a final-round 78 for his seventh sub-80 round of the campaign. Chris Mandia (Catskill, NY) shot 83 as he and fellow junior Tom Hannig (Claymont, DE) each were tied for 35th with 168.

The Lightning on the day shot 323 and ended sixth over 36 holes with 653. Saint Thomas Aquinas won with 581 and Brendan Hunter for the Spartans took medalist honors with a six-under-par 138.

Goldey-Beacom will host the GBC Spring Invitational on March 28 at 11:00 am in Newark, DE.
