Golf Finishes Play at the Brown Golf Intercollegiate

Goldey-Beacom had another strong showing against many elite schools as it concluded play at the Brown Golf Intercollegiate in Whispering Pines, NC.

Junior Garrett Brown (Severn, MD) again played solidly, following his opening-round 78 Friday with a final-round 79 to finish tied for 17th at 157. Sophomore Andre Primeau (Pontypool, Ontario) shot 83 to end tied for 48th with 167 and junior Chris Mandia (Catskill, NY) carded 81 to close tied for 62nd at 171.

Freshman Ryan Quigg (Sykesville, MD) and junior Tom Hannig (Claymont, DE) each were tied for 82nd with 179 and sophomore Barry Frankel (Sykesville, MD) finished tied for 83rd with 189.

Goldey-Beacom ended 10th with 672 after shooting 338 on Saturday. Charleston won with 614 and Kirby Manown from California (PA) took medalist honors by four shots with 146.

Goldey-Beacom next Friday and Saturday takes part in the Bear Trap Dunes Invitational in Ocean View, DE.
