Men’s Golf Competes on Day One of the Charger Challenge

Goldey-Beacom put forth strong performances on day one of the Charger Challenge in Suffern, NY.

Freshman Ryan Quigg (Sykesville, MD) impressed over the first 18 holes with 77 that tied his season low and he is just six shots off the lead. Sophomore Andre Primeau (Pontypool, Ontario) is tied for 24th with 80, junior Chris Mandia (Catskill, NY) is tied for 28th with 81, sophomore Barry Frankel (Sykesville, MD) carded 85 and junior Garrett Brown (Severn, MD) shot 86.

The Lightning are seventh with 323 and Saint Thomas Aquinas leads the way with 296.

The final round will be contested Monday, also at Spook Rock Golf Course.
