Patrick McRae and Garrett Brown Compete on Day One of the NCAA Men’s Golf Regionals

Goldey-Beacom senior Patrick McRae (Markham, ON) and sophomore Garrett Brown (Severn, MD) took to the links Monday on day one of the NCAA Division II East/Atlantic Men's Golf Regional in Nashport, OH.

McRae ended the first round tied for 51st place with a 10-over-par 82. He played the back nine first, shooting 39 that included a birdie on the par-5 16th hole. He then carded 43 on the front nine.

Brown started at the first hole and went out in 39, which included a birdie on the par-4 eighth hole, and then went in with 44. He closed the day tied for 58th with 83.

Both players return to action Tuesday on day two of the 54-hole event with each having an 8:20 am tee time.
