Goldey-Beacom saw all five of its players score in the 70s and the team is tied for seventh after the first round of the Peter King Memorial Tournament in Shoreham, NY.
Senior Patrick McRae (Markham, ON), a two-time pick to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll this spring, shot a three-over-par 74 and is tied for 14th place. Freshmen Andre Primeau (Pontypool, ON) and Barry Frankel (Sykesville, MD) each carded 76 and are tied for 23rd.
Senior Tyler McElwee (Wilmington, DE) is tied for 29th with 77 and sophomore Garrett Brown (Severn, MD) is tied for 37th with 78.
Goldey-Beacom fired an impressive 303 and is 10 shots in back of first-place Chestnut Hill. Sam Reimer from Chestnut Hill leads the individual pack with 69.
GBC is tied with league-rival Nyack and six shots in front of CACC foe Post.
Final-round action in the 36-hole event commences Saturday at 9:00 am.
