Patrick McRae Finishes Tied for Fifth to Help Men’s Golf Close Fourth at the CACC Championship

Senior Patrick McRae (Markham, ON) shot a final round 76 and ended the tournament tied for fifth for Goldey-Beacom, which closed fourth at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Golf Championship in Lafayette Hill, PA.

McRae built on his opening-round 75 to finish the championship with 151 and was named to the all-championship team, which played a big role in GBC shooting 308 on the day. Andre Primeau (Pontypool, ON) shot 75 to end tied for seventh with 152 and fellow freshman Barry Frankel (Sykesville, MD) also carded 75 to finish tied for 20th with 159. Senior Tyler McElwee (Wilmington, DE) closed tied for 33rd with 167 after shooting a final-round 82.

GBC, which closed fourth for the third time in the last four years, shot 629 as a team and Wilmington (DE) won the title with 591. Wilmington's Freddy Braun captured the individual crown, besting teammate Joey Russo on the first playoff hole.
