Men's Golf Sits Fifth After Day One of the CACC Championship

Goldey-Beacom had a solid day in the first round of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Golf Championship as it sits in fifth place at The Ace Club in Lafayette Hill, PA.

Senior Patrick McRae (Markham, ON) once again played great, shooting 75 to put him in a tie for sixth place and only five shots off the pace. Andre Primeau (Pontypool, ON) is tied for 13th with 77, fellow freshman Barry Frankel (Sykesville, MD) is tied for 32nd with 84 and senior Tyler McElwee (Wilmington, DE) is tied for 35th with 85.

GBC shot 321 as a team during the first 18 holes. Wilmington (DE) leads the championship with 295 and the Wildcats' Freddy Braun is first with 70.

The final round takes place Wednesday, beginning at 8:00 am.
