McRae Takes Medalist Honors for Men’s Golf at the Philadelphia U. Invitational

Senior Patrick McRae (Markham, ON) notched a convincing three-shot victory and helped Goldey-Beacom close tied for second at the Philadelphia U. Invitational in Lafayette Hill, PA.

McRae, who on Monday was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll for a second time this spring, shot 73 to close in front of Elliot Wakefield from Nyack. Freshman Andre Primeau (Pontypool, ON) was tied for fourth with 78, sophomore Garrett Brown (Severn, MD) closed tied for eighth with 81, senior Tyler McElwee (Wilmington, DE) carded 90 and sophomore Eric Naccarelli (Williamstown, NJ) shot 94.

Goldey-Beacom and Philadelphia U. each ended with 322. Nyack won the event with 314.

Goldey-Beacom is on the road Friday and Saturday at the Peter King Memorial Tournament in Shoreham, NY.
