Men’s Golf Ends Third at the Griffin Invitational

Sophomore Garrett Brown (Severn, MD) closed tied for 11th and helped Goldey-Beacom finish third at the Griffin Invitational in Avondale, PA.

Brown, who last season competed at the NCAA Regionals, shot 77 and finished just six shots off the lead. This helped the Lightning card 316, just one shot in back of Moravian for second place.

Patrick McRae (Markham, ON) ended tied for 14th with 78, fellow senior Tyler McElwee (Wilmington, DE) closed tied for 21st with 80, Andre Primeau (Pontypool, ON) was tied for 27th with 81 and fellow freshman Barry Frankel (Sykesville, MD) ended tied for 47th with 86.

Goldey-Beacom competes next Tuesday at the Philadelphia U. Invitational in Lafayette Hill, PA.
