In a battle of five schools from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, Goldey-Beacom ended fourth at the GBC Fall Invitational in Newark, DE.
The Lightning competed against some of the region's best squads one day before all schools in the league will tangle in an inaugural conference event.
Freshman Ryan Quigg (Sykesville, MD) was tied for 16th with 80, junior Garrett Brown (Severn MD) ended tied for 21st with 82, Barry Frankel (Sykesville, MD) was 23rd with 83, fellow sophomore Andre Primeau (Pontypool, Ontario) finished 25th with 87 and junior Chris Mandia (Catskill, NY) was tied for 29th with 92.
Miguel Siercke and Ryan Rucinski from Wilmington (DE) each carded 71, but Siercke won via tiebreaker with the best score over the final nine holes (35-36).
Wilmington captured the team crown with 294 and GBC shot 332.
Goldey-Beacom is back on the links Tuesday at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Fall Classic, beginning at 11:45 am in Lafayette Hill, PA.
