2014 CACC Championship Final Round Results: PDFBLUE BELL, Pa. - Led by senior
Matthew Japchen (Central Bucks West H.S./Doylestown, Pa.), the Goldey-Beacom College men's golf team finished in seventh place after the second round of the 2014 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship held at the Blue Bell Country Club on Wednesday afternoon.
Wilmington University claimed its fourth consecutive CACC title after shooting a 323 team score in the second round. The Wildcats, who earned the CACC's automatic berth into the NCAA Regional Championship, finished 23 strokes ahead of Nyack while Concordia was in third place.
One of three Goldey-Beacom golfers to improve their score in the second round, Japchen fired an 84 to finish in a tie for 24th place with freshman
Garrett Brown (Glen Burnie H.S./Severn, Md.) as both players ended the tournament with a two-round total of 174.
Meanwhile, junior
Matthew Scheeper (Delsea H.S./Franklinville, N.J.) shot an 89 in the second round to earn a share of 22nd place after a two-round score of 173.
Senior
Justin Lesko (St. Mark's H.S./Newark, Del.) and freshman
Tom Hannig (Concord H.S./Claymont, Del.) each finished tied for 30th place by posting a 178 score. Lesko fired an 85 in the second round while Hannig earned a score of 87.
