Ashley Zaccaria (Gloucester City H.S./Gloucester City, N.J.) became the 13th player in Goldey-Beacom College softball history to reach 100 career hits, but No. 14 Caldwell spoiled the milestone by handing the Lightning a 4-3 loss in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game played at the Cougars' Caldwell Field on Sunday afternoon.
Zaccaria, who posted a pair of hits in the loss, reached the milestone when she singled through the left side to lead off the fourth inning. With 101 hits in her career, Zaccaria is now tied for 11th place on the Lightning's career hits list.
The Cougars took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning when junior shortstop
Megan Fryday (Mission Hills H.S./San Marcos, Calif.) hit an RBI single through the right side.

Taylor Ewing (North Dorchester H.S./Hurlock, Md.) singled to right field to drive in a run. An error by the Cougars on the play allowed a second run to score, tying the game at 3-3.
