NEWARK, Del. – Senior
Patrick McRae (Markham, Ontario, Canada) carded a six-over-par score of 77 as the Goldey-Beacom College men's golf team earned a second place finish at the 2014 Goldey-Beacom College Fall Invite at Newark Country Club on Monday afternoon.
While the Lightning posted a 324 team score, Messiah College earned the team championship after shooting a 320 team score. In addition, freshman
Sam Riemer (Canton H.S./Canton, Mass.) of Chestnut Hill College earned the medalist honor after firing a five-over-par score of 76.
McRae earned a second place finish after finishing with a 77 while sophomore
Garrett Brown (Glen Burnie H.S./Severn, Md.) followed in a tie for fifth place with a score of 79. Meanwhile, freshman
Andre Primeau (Pontypod, Ontario, Canada) and sophomore
Tom Hannig (Concord H.S./Claymont, Del.) each finished in a tie for 20th place after firing a 13-over-par score of 84.
Freshman
Barry Frankel (Century H.S./Sykesville, Md.) finished in a tie for 30th place with a score of 88.
The Lightning will finish their Fall season schedule on Oct. 13 and 14 at the Daemen/Roberts Wesleyan Invitational.
