WILMINGTON, Del. - After earning back-to-back wins for the first time this season on Wednesday afternoon, the Goldey-Beacom College softball team will open their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference schedule by welcoming Felician College to the Jackson Athletic Complex on Sunday, Mar. 17 at 1 p.m.

Now 3-7 overall, the Lightning will be looking to extend a brief two-game winning streak after earning a pair of victories over Lincoln University on Wednesday afternoon at the Jackson Athletic Complex. Freshman designated player
Taylor Ewing (North Dorchester H.S./Hurlock, Md.) had four hits and drove in four runs to lead the Lightning against the Bears while three other players also collected four hits in the doubleheader sweep.
Freshman second baseman
Madison Newhouser (North Schuylkill H.S./Ashland, Pa.) contributed a pair of doubles and drove in three runs while junior outfielder
Michelle Foster (Overbrook H.S./West Berlin, N.J.) scored five runs and had two runs batted in. Sophomore utility player
Samantha Alonzo (Roy C. Ketcham H.S./Wappinger Falls, N.Y.), who leads the Lightning with five extra-base hits this season, had a pair of triples with three runs batted in and four runs scored.
Ewing, who has hit safely in six of her last eight games, is the Lightning's leading hitter with a .421 batting average while Newhouser leads the Lightning with 12 hits and five runs batted in.
Off to a 4-10 start this season, the Golden Falcons will be trying to end a five-game losing streak when they visit Goldey-Beacom on Sunday afternoon. During the current skid, Felician has been outscored by a 41-12 margin.
Sophomore
Taylor Parker leads the Golden Falcons with a .422 batting average and a team-high 19 hits. She has also contributed four runs batted in while scoring nine runs. Meanwhile, junior
Kelsi Ludwigsen is hitting .400 this season with a team-high 12 runs batted in.
The Lightning, who will be finishing a 12-game homestand to open the season, earned a pair of victories over the Golden Falcons last year.
