JEFFERSONVILLE, Pa. - The Goldey-Beacom College golf team was one stroke back of tournament champion Penn State-Abington as the Lightning settled for second place at the first-ever Chestnut Hill Fall Classic on Wed., Sept. 14 at Westover Country Club.
The Lightning had a tournament-best four inidividual players of the field of 43 finish in the top-10, but Penn State-Abington's Dylan Amin (T-1st, 72) and Tim Anderson (T-3rd, 74) led Abington to victory.
Junior
Jeff Whiteside was the Lightning's top finisher, earning a tie for third with Anderson by shooting a 74 (+4). Sophomore
Patrick McRae started his second year on the right foot as he was just one stroke behind Whiteside and Anderson to finish fifth overall.
Sophomore
Bryan Neuhaus shot a 76 to finish in a three-way tie for sixth place, and junior
Devon Ripley took ninth place with a 77. Junior
Michael Coppa shot a 79 as he finished in a three-way tie for 12th place.
