LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. - Newly-appointed head golf coach Michael Barrow watched his Goldey-Beacom College Lightning win the Philadelphia University Fall Classic in his career coaching debut on Tues. afternoon at The Ace Club.

The former standout golfer at the University of Delaware turned head coach at Goldey-Beacom led the Lightning to a team score of 300, five strokes better than second-place Adelphi. Nyack was 10 strokes back for third place, Swarthmore was fourth with a 313, and Division I Drexel University rounded out the top-five with a 314.

Junior Michael Coppa shook off a rough outing at the Charger Challenge the two previous days before and was crowned the individual champion by shooting a 72. Coppa edged out the second-place finisher, Paul Weston of Swarthmore, by just one stroke.

Taking third place overall was junior Devon Ripley with a 74, and junior Jeff Whiteside and sophomore Patrick McRae both tied for ninth place with a 77. Sophomore Bryan Neuhaus carded a 78.
