LYNDHURST, N.J.
– A three-run walk-off home run by Nicole Degenhardt gave Felician College a 7-4 Game 2 victory over visiting Goldey-Beacom College and a sweep of the teams' Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference softball doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Matera Field. Felician (12-25, 5-15) homered three times in winning Game 1, 4-3, and sent GBC (14-19, 6-16) to its eighth and ninth straight losses.

In the nightcap, the Lightning led, 4-3, heading into the bottom of the seventh inning when Amber Doran led off with a double. Following a walk and a sacrifice, Hope Van Dyke drove in the tying run with an RBI single. Degenhardt followed with a line drive over the left field fence, her second of the day to make the Falcons victorious.

Felician's Grace Keller (6-4) allowed 10 hits in 6 2/3 innings over two stints, but Goldey-Beacom (14-19, 6-16) stranded 12 baserunners in the game. Losing pitcher, junior Heather Draper helped her cause with three hits, and freshman Ashley Antosh gave the Lightning the lead with a two-run single in the sixth.

All four Felician runs came via the longball in the opener. Degenhardt had a two-run homer in the first, and Lauren DeGrushe and Samantha Ortiz added solo shots in the middle innings.

Junior left-hander Kristina Jimenez made the runs stand up, scattering eight hits in a complete-game effort, striking out five batters and walking two. Degenhardt and Keller each went 2-for-3 for the Golden Falcons, while sophomore Danielle Rice had a solo homer among three hits.
GBC is back in action tomorrow as the Lightning host the No. 2 ranked team in the Atlantic Region, Kutztown University of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
