Orangeburg, NY – Women's Soccer just misses in overtime to Dominican

The Lightning women soccer team took on Dominican College in their first conference battle today. 

Dominican scored the first goal of the game in the first half, but the Lightning would respond with a second-half goal from Ashley Longo that sent the game into overtime.  Unfortunately, two minutes into overtime Dominican scored and ended the game with a 2-1 win. 

Kristen Degenhardt led the Lightning in goal with 5 saves 

The Lightning will take on Georgian Court University on Thursday, September 25, 2008 in Lakewood, NJ.
