Jessica Jensen Named First Team All-CACC for Women's Soccer; Miley Jones and Maria Fonseca Tabbed Second Team

11/3/2026 12:00:00 AM

A resurgent season for Goldey-Beacom's Women's Soccer team saw junior forward Jessica Jensen (Las Vegas, NV) named first team All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference with senior midfielder Miley Jones (Pemberton, NJ) and sophomore defender Maria Fonseca (Cascais, Portugal) picked second team all-league.

Jensen was a scoring machine, consistently showing her ability to get open and work her way around the defense.  The 2024 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year with Whittier College, Jensen this season is tied for the conference lead with 11 goals and 25 points.

Jensen scored four goals against Staten Island on October 14 and two each vs. Post on October 10 and Lincoln (PA) on October 20.  Her 11 goals were one shy of making the Lightning's single-season top 10 list.

She goes into her senior campaign with 16 career goals and 35 points.

Jones capped her four-year career with a scoring barrage that has Goldey-Beacom back in the CACC conversation.  A fast player who generates plenty of offensive opportunities, Jones is fifth in the league with seven goals and tied for fifth with 17 points.

Jones ends with 11 career goals, four assists and 26 points.

Fonseca gave the defense a boost and looks to remain someone the rest of the back line will build around.  One of two for the Lightning to start all 18 contests, she helped the team on three occasions not get breached for more than one goal.

Fonseca ended the campaign with two goals and four assists.  She had a goal and an assist both against Post on October 10 and Lincoln (PA) on October 20.

Sophomore Lanie Pennington (Smyrna, DE) was the team's pick for the conference's Sportsmanship Team.

Goldey-Beacom was making its second straight CACC Tournament appearance and 10th in the last 12 competitive seasons.  The program showed drastic improvement under first-year coach Heather Faasse, the first full-time and first female coach in program history.  The future also is bright with 10 of the 15 players who competed in at least 10 games still having eligibility.
