Wilmington, DE – Lightning come close in cross town matchup

The Goldey-Beacom College Lightning softball team traveled across the city to play Wilmington University.  The Lightning came close in the first game with recording 10 hits, and 4 runs scored.  Kendra Russell proved herself from both the plate and the mound.  Russell went 3 for 4 from the plate and struck out 4 batters with her arm.  The second game was a different story; Wilmington took control and didn't look back.  The Lightning fell to Wilmington 4-6 and 0-8.
