Wilmington, DE – Lightning say goodbye to six seniors as they come close to Nyack

 

The Lightning softball team played host to Nyack College for the last home game of the season.  The Lightning hung tough with the Warriors through out the game but couldn't overcome their pitcher.  The Lightning dropped the first game 2-5.  Megan Harper led the Lightning with two hits, two RBI's, 5 putouts and a double.  The Lightning then tried again in the second game and kept it close once more but were unable to turn the tide for the Lightning.  Nyack defeated the Lightning once more 4-1.  Brittany Knotts led the Lightning in the second game with two hits.  

 

The Lightning say goodbye to six seniors this season Kelly Miller, Brittany Knotts, Bridget Mount, Jill Murphy, Kendra Russell, and Megan Harper.
