Myrtle Beach, SC – The Lightning place 9th in spring opener.
The Lightning golf team traveled to Crown Park Golf Course (Par 72) in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for the Pace University Invitational. The first day proved to be a tough one as they placed in 10th with a score of 344 as a team. The second day proved to be a little easier for the group of five as they finished the tournament in 9th place with a two day total of 666. Freshman Wesley Hood led the Lightning with a two day total of 156 (+12) which was good for a tie in 12th position.
The Lightning's next outing will be their host tournament next Monday, March 31st and Tuesday, April 1st at Hartefeld National Golf Course in Avondale, PA.
