Lock Haven, PA – Acosta hits 20 for the third time in a row, but the Lightning fall to Lock Haven
The women's basketball team traveled to Lock Haven University on Thursday night, for a non-conference match. After shooting just 7-28, the Lightning found themselves down at the end of the first half 25-18.
The Lady Eagles quickly jumped out in the second half to extend their lead. Even with the Lightning riding on the shoulders of Evebonee Acosta, who scored 20 points for the third straight game, Lock Haven was just too much for the Lightning, as they fell 64-50. With the loss, the Lady Lightning drop to 4-5 overall.
Sophomore Janae Weldon contributed 10 points and 6 rebounds, while classmate Arielle Alford added 7 points and 8 rebounds.
The Lightning will travel to West Chester University on Saturday, December 20, 2008 for a 1:00pm non-conference game.
