Three for Goldey-Beacom Picked to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll

Goldey-Beacom this week saw junior Molly Skelly (Blackwood, NJ) and freshman Ayri Hansen (Lakewood, CA) each to picked to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll for Softball with sophomore Roman Keith (Selbyville, DE) getting the same honor for Baseball.

Skelly went 3-0 on the week with 13 strikeouts and just two walks over 16 1/3 innings. She pitched a complete game Friday against Molloy, allowing no earned runs and four hits with four strikeouts.

Hansen batted .533 (8-for-15) last week with three RBI. She recorded two hits in each game Wednesday at Chestnut Hill before getting three hits and three RBI in game one Friday against Molloy.

Keith batted .467 (7-for-15) on the week with three doubles, two home runs and six RBI. He had two doubles Tuesday against Holy Family before getting three hits and four RBI on Sunday at Chestnut Hill.

The softball team (18-16, 7-7 CACC) is tied for fifth in the conference and on Tuesday hosts Jefferson in a 2:00 pm doubleheader.

The baseball squad (26-17, 19-8) is second in the league, already has clinched a sixth straight berth in the CACC Tournament and on Wednesday visits Wilmington for a noon doubleheader. GBC is ranked sixth in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association East Region Poll.
