8/6/2025 12:00:00 AM

(2025 schedule)

A second consecutive appearance in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament continued the positive vibes around the Men's Soccer program and that looks to carry on with the reveal of the 2025 schedule.

Goldey-Beacom opens with five road games, beginning September 4 at Pace and continuing two days later at the District of Columbia.  GBC then visits Pitt-Johnstown on the ninth and Daemen on the 14th before playing its CACC opener September 17 at Chestnut Hill.

The home opener is September 20 against Caldwell before the team visits Holy Family three days later and hosts Roberts Wesleyan on October 1.

Homecoming & Lightning Family Weekend features a contest October 4 against Felician, which last season won the CACC title and advanced to the national quarterfinals.  The weekend's events include opportunities for alums to come back on campus to reunite with many friends and also see the many changes that many who continue to be part of the family help ignite.  It also will give an opportunity for parents to come on campus and spend time with their kids as part of an atmosphere filled with festivities and fun.

Goldey-Beacom on October 18 visits Post, which last season lost to Felician both in the conference final and the "Sweet 16" of the NCAA Tournament.  GBC visits NCAA Tournament-participant Bloomsburg on November 3 before ending the regular season two days later at Abessinio Stadium against Wilmington.

For the second straight year, each CACC quarterfinal and semifinal game will be held at the higher seed.  The quarterfinals are November 9, the semifinals are the 12th and this season's final is the 15th in Waterbury, CT.

Senior midfielder Derrick Muhire (Kigali, Rwanda) is back after battling numerous injuries, winning last year's Brian Conley Award as the Goldey-Beacom student who best displays courage, determination and perseverance.  He played 18 games a season ago with 13 starts, ending with a goal and an assist.

Sophomore midfielder Sam Ball (Salisbury, MD) had a phenomenal debut campaign, competing in 14 games with three starts and being named the league's Rookie of the Week midway through the year.

Junior Edrick Mugisha (Kigali, Rwanda) also is back, looking to strengthen the midfield after playing 16 games a season ago with six starts.

Goldey-Beacom (7-12, 6-5 CACC) ended the regular season with victories in four of its last six contests to clinch a second consecutive trip to the CACC Tournament.  The team saw newcomers account for three of the squad's top four point totals on the year, including its top two goal scorers.
