Goldey-Beacom esports squad faced number four ranked Wichita State in the Valorant NACE Premier league and were handed a 2-0 loss in their first match of this league.
Map 1 on Abyss saw a score of 13-4 and Map 2 on Bind had a final score of 13-1, giving Wichita State the victory. Freshmen Layton "Squid" Evans and Caleb "Hatch" Visinsky both had the most kills in the match, with 20 total. Freshman Stephen "Anhelo" Quinn had the most kills on Map 2 with 9, gaining the title of "top fragger."
The Valorant NACE Premier squad is back in action on Wednesday, where they face Humber Esports at 7pm.
