4/23/2026 12:00:00 AM

Goldey-Beacom, Esports champions in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference three times this academic year, saw three of its student-athletes win season-ending awards for the spring.

Freshman Fidel "Jirarachi" Akor was picked CACC Player of the Season for Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, sophomore Caleb "Hatch - YHP2FB" Visinsky (Central City, PA) was tabbed Player of the Season for Marvel Rivals and sophomore Stephen "BulletNBible" Quinn (Oceanview, DE) was named All-CACC for Marvel Rivals.

This came after Quinn was picked all-conference both for Marvel Rivals and Super Smash Brothers Ultimate in the fall.

Akor paced the Lightning with 43 stocks taken, including 13 against Post in the CACC semifinals and seven each vs. Dominican (NY) and Post.

Visinsky this semester again was remarkable, closing with 716 kills, 157 deaths, 24 assists, 381 final hits, 628k damage, 289k damage blocked and 4k healing.  His kill/death ratio was 4.56 and he had a 67 percent accuracy over maps six and seven vs. Holy Family in the conference final.

Quinn ended the semester with 575 kills, 124 deaths, 155 assists, 244 final hits, 385k damage, 655k damage blocked and 31k healing.  His resilience and composure proved why he is the team captain and his knowledge was extremely valuable in critical situations.

Goldey-Beacom this spring won its second CACC Marvel Rivals title of the academic year, rallying for a 4-3 victory in the final over Holy Family.  GBC for the campaign went 11-1 in Marvel Rivals.

The squad this fall won the league's Rocket League crown, played in both conference finals in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate and this spring competed in the 16-team National Esports Collegiate Conferences Valorant Tournament a second straight year.
