Goldey-Beacom esports faced a tough Bloomfield squad in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate for the fourth time since the program began in September, and were unfortunately defeated 2-0.
The first set saw Bloomfield take the 9 -5 victory over the Lightning, with the second match ending similarly in a 9-4 defeat for Goldey-Beacom. In his debut Super Smash Brothers Ultimate match, freshman David "Toon3rd" Hale (Plainfield, Ill.) managed an impressive 8 stocks. Fellow freshman Mehki "aether.exe" Ellensworth added the one other stock for GBC.
The Super Smash Brothers Ultimate squad is back in action on Tuesday, where they play Dominican (NY) at 9pm.
