Goldey-Beacom esports picked up a 2-0 victory over Dominican in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, with set 1 seeing a 9-2 win for GBC and set 2 ending 9-4 in favor of the Lightning.Â
Goldey-Beacom was led by freshman David "Toon3rd" Hale (Plainfield, Ill.), who took the entire 9 stocks of the first set by himself while only losing two of his own. Freshman Caleb "Hatch" Visinski (Somerset, Pa.) managed to take 2 stocks in his SSBU debut and Stephen "Anhelo" Quinn (Oceanview, DE) managed 7 stocks total.
The SSBU squad is back in action on Tuesday, where they play Post at 9pm.
