Goldey-Beacom saw four named for All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference honors as Abigail O'Shields (Dagsboro, DE) was picked first team with fellow senior Hannah Davis (Bethel, DE), Alex Lowry (Wenonah, NJ) and fellow junior Bryn Bohmann (Saskatoon, SK) tabbed second team.

O'Shields has been a dynamo since arriving in Pike Creek this season, taking over the role as number one pitcher almost instantaneously and not relinquishing.  A tremendous athlete whose numbers have been unreal, she has notched 218 strikeouts that is the single-season GBC record and already is third in team annals.

Notching at least 10 strikeouts in six outings, O'Shields also has recorded 17 victories that is one off the school's single season mark and eighth in team history.  She is 13th in the country (first in the CACC) in strikeouts, first in the league with seven shutouts, first with a .203 average against and second with 17 wins.

Davis has been an all-everything athlete with her solid hitting, exceptional speed on the base paths and great play in left field.  A gifted athlete who has played a massive role in the program's ascent over the last five years, she is eighth in the CACC with 56 hits and 23rd with a .357 batting average.

Davis is first in team history with 72 stolen bases, third with 183 hits and tied for 20th with a .334 batting average.

Lowry continues to be an exceptional athlete, showing great skills and clutch play both with softball and women's soccer.  Soon to be a four-time pick as CSC Academic All-District, she is first in the league with 10 triples and 28th with a .336 batting average.

Lowry, who last season had a 1.000 fielding percentage over 103 chances, is tied for second in team history with 20 triples, third with 42 stolen bases and tied for 20th with a .334 batting average.

Bohmann has shown a great deal of versatility, called upon to play multiple positions and she has been a tremendous factor in all.  Displaying a great deal of power with the ability to change momentum with one swing, she is first in the league with a school-record 53 RBI, third with 16 doubles, ninth with 55 hits and 17th with a .362 batting average.

Bohmann's doubles are tied for sixth in school history and her hits are 11th.

Goldey-Beacom is off to championship weekend of the CACC Tournament and will be in action Thursday against Bridgeport, starting at 1:30 pm in New Castle, DE.  GBC got to this point after notching a 10-2 victory in the first round Saturday over Georgian Court.

The Lightning's number three seed is their highest since being a No. 2 seed in 2001 and so far they have achieved their best finish since closing the 2005 tournament third.
