Goldey-Beacom saw Gaby Fernandez (Arecibo, PR) named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Volleyball Rookie of the Week, junior Giuliana Jaku (Frontin, Italy) picked to the sport's Weekly Honor Roll and junior Kaitlyn Nolan (Central Valley, NY) tabbed to the Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll.

Fernandez recorded 36 digs over two matches. She notched 20 digs Friday at Post after getting 16 on Tuesday at Jefferson, the latter resulting in a 3-0 GBC victory.

A phenomenal addition in the program's resurgence, Fernandez this season has recorded at least 20 digs on nine occasions. She was picked the league's Rookie of the Week on September 23 and the Defensive Player of the Week one week earlier.

Jaku closed with 22 kills, 22 digs and two blocks over two matches. She recorded seven kills and 14 digs Tuesday at Jefferson before getting 15 and eight Friday at Post.

A key player at the net who also has been a great addition, Jaku has notched six double-doubles this season and had a streak of four straight matches with at least 10 digs.

Nolan scored the deciding goal Saturday in Goldey-Beacom's 2-1 victory at Felician.

Nolan this season has played in 11 games with 10 starts, providing key minutes for a program looking to once again be among the league's elite.

The women's soccer team is home Tuesday against Lincoln (PA) for a 3:00 pm contest. The volleyball squad is home Wednesday vs. Wilmington (DE), beginning at 7:00 pm.
