Goldey-Beacom's strong start to the campaign saw more honors with senior Anthony DiMartino (Sicklerville, NJ) named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Pitcher of the Week and sophomore Christian Petrillo (New Brunswick, NJ) tabbed to the Weekly Honor Roll.

DiMartino pitched great Sunday against No. 16 Millersville in getting the win, striking out three and allowing just one run and four hits over five innings in Goldey-Beacom's 4-2 triumph.

It has been another impressive start to another impressive season for DiMartino, who has recorded 11 strikeouts over 14 2/3 innings.  Among that included getting five strikeouts February 17 against regionally ranked Le Moyne.

DiMartino is fourth in team history with 10 career wins, third with 158 1/3 innings pitched, fourth with 139 strikeouts and fourth with four complete games.

Petrillo batted .500 (8-for-16) on the week with two doubles over four games against No. 16 Millersville.  He rapped three hits in game one of Saturday's doubleheader and two hits in each of Sunday's games.

Petrillo's start includes a hit in 12 of his 13 contests, including a seven-game hitting streak in which he is batting .483 (14-for-29).  Not to be lost is his defensive prowess, covering center field with incredible quickness that has helped him record a .967 fielding percentage over 30 chances.

Goldey-Beacom (8-5) is ranked sixth in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association East Region Poll with three victories against nationally or regionally ranked schools.  In addition to Sunday, GBC had two wins February 17 versus Le Moyne.
