(2022 schedule)

A new era for Goldey-Beacom softball begins in 2022 and the team is eager to go against what always is a challenging schedule.

Goldey-Beacom begins the slate with four games against Washington Adventist, playing a doubleheader February 6 in Takoma Park, MD and a twin-bill February 20 in Pike Creek.  GBC then faces Bloomsburg on February 27 in a home doubleheader.

Its annual trip south takes place March 6-11 with eight games at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in North Myrtle Beach, SC.  Play in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opens March 19 on the road at Felician.

Other key games in March include a home doubleheader March 26 against Dominican (NY) and a home doubleheader five days later vs. CACC runner-up Bloomfield.

April features a home doubleheader on the 9th against Wilmington and a trip three days later to reigning CACC champion Georgian Court.  Other key doubleheaders include April 14 at home against Jefferson and April 20 at Caldwell before the regular season ends April 30 at home vs. Nyack.

The CACC Tournament will be held May 5-7 on the campus of Georgian Court in Lakewood, NJ with the top eight teams competing.

Among many quality players back in the fold include sophomore outfielder Hannah Davis (Bethel, DE), the only returnee to start all 27 games last season.  A solid competitor who provides a great deal of offense, she closed the 2021 campaign fifth in the CACC with 13 stolen bases, 45th with 26 hits, 47th with a .325 batting average and 55th with a .372 on base percentage.

Senior infielder Jaeda Henriquez (Jersey City, NJ) has seen her playing time increase the last few years and hopes that continues this season.  She competed in 25 games last year with 24 starts, ending tied for sixth on the squad with 15 hits.

Sophomore Nicole Makin (Edgewater Park, NJ) was a key player and once again can be utilized both as an infielder and an outfielder.  Senior pitcher Chrissy Jordan (Pasadena, MD) hopes to be a vital player in the circle after ending last year with 24 strikeouts.

A new era begins in Pike Creek with Juli Greep taking over as head coach.  Greep enters following a successful 10-year run at Wesley College in which she left as the program's winningest coach with 168 triumphs.  Her arrival in 2012 produced an 11-game increase in victories for the highest in Division III that year.

At the time of her departure, nearly all single-season and career records in program history had been shattered and she had the top winning percentage of all active women's teams and previous softball coaches at the College.

Greep's run produced the first female student-athlete in Wesley history to be named CoSIDA Academic All-America in addition to three CoSIDA All-Region picks, 41 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-American Scholar-Athletes and 45 Capital Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference honorees.

The Wolverines also had four NFCA All-Region players, three tabbed All-ECAC, three Wesley College Female Athletes of the Year and 16 all-conference picks between the CAC and the Atlantic East Conference.

Greep in 2019 was honored as the Atlantic East's Coach of the Year with Wesley advancing to the conference final.

Greep also was Wesley's Senior Woman Administrator and its Assistant Director of Athletics from 2016-19 before her 2020 promotion to Associate Director of Athletics.  She was an adjunct professor in the Physical Education Department, a student-teacher supervisor, a SAAC advisor, assisted with compliance and verification of transfers, was the Athletics Hall of Fame director of ceremonies and helped create the Atlantic East's softball guidelines.
