Goldey-Beacom was the beneficiary of three more weekly awards from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference with senior Neyshlian Roman Concepcion (Toa Baja, PR) picked the Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, junior Julia Syrdahl (Basking Ridge, NJ) named to the sport's Weekly Honor Roll and freshman Alyssa Ruggeri (Hockessin, DE) tabbed to the Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll.

Roman Concepcion continued her more than sensational play with 61 digs over two matches.  She equaled her career best with 35 digs Saturday against Caldwell after getting 26 Tuesday vs. University of the Sciences.

It has been a more than outstanding campaign for Roman Concepcion, who is one of the program's most valuable players and is in the conversation as one of the nation's elite defenders.  She is second in the country with 421 digs and third with 6.48 digs per set.  Both figures lead the CACC.

Roman Concepcion also has 942 career digs as she attempts to become the first in school history to reach quadruple figures over just two seasons.

This also is Roman Concepcion's third weekly honor this year from the league.  She was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week September 20 and to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll the week prior.

Syrdahl was picked to the Weekly Honor Roll for a fifth time this year after closing with 19 kills, a .325 hitting percentage, six blocks, four digs and one ace over two matches.  She had 14 kills, a .310 percentage, four blocks and three digs in Goldey-Beacom's 3-2 victory Saturday over Caldwell.  Syrdahl also had five kills, a .364 percentage and two blocks Tuesday versus University of the Sciences.

Syrdahl is seventh in team history with 164 career blocks.  She also has 550 career kills and is nearing the College's top 10.

Ruggeri scored twice in Goldey-Beacom's 5-0 victory Wednesday over Staten Island.

Enjoying a standout debut campaign, Ruggeri has been a valuable addition to the offense.  She is third in the league with five goals, third with 13 points and fourth with three assists.

It is Ruggeri's third honor from the league this year.  She was named September 7 the CACC Rookie of the Week and on October 4 made the Weekly Honor Roll.
