Volleyball Cruises, 3-0, Over Lincoln

Goldey-Beacom left zero doubt in rolling to a 3-0 triumph (25-11, 25-15, 25-17) over Lincoln (PA) at the Jones Center in Wilmington, DE.
 
The Lightning (5-2) needed just 69 minutes for the 75-43 scoring rout by gaining a 43-20 edge in kills and a .278-.049 advantage in hitting percentage.  Goldey-Beacom also recorded 10 aces for its second-best total of the season and now is averaging 7.7 per match on the young campaign.
 
Junior Juliana Malena (Miami, FL) dished 24 assists, Ashley Fru (Brandywine, MD) had 10, fellow sophomore Lia Rodriguez (San Juan, PR) recorded 15 digs, junior Etta Harris (North East, MD) pounded 10 kills with sophomore Gabi Fullwood (Powder Springs, GA) and senior Baylee Brin (Salina, KS) getting nine apiece for GBC.
 
Charly Manley recorded 13 assists for the Lions (0-5).
 
Goldey-Beacom returns to action Wednesday at home against West Chester for a 6:00 pm match.
