Zach Landvik-Larsen Tabbed CACC Men’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week

Freshman Zach Landvik-Larsen (Stroudsburg, PA) had an impressive debut for Goldey-Beacom's Men's Cross Country and was rewarded in being picked Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week.

Landvik-Larsen closed ninth at the Fleet Feet Invitational in his collegiate debut, ending the eight-kilometer trek in 27:36. He averaged 5:33.2 per mile and only was off the lead by just over a minute.

This helped Goldey-Beacom as a unit enjoy a strong day with a promising future. The unit closed fourth out of 10 teams and had three of its runners end in the top 25. Its 91 points marks the third-lowest point total for the squad over the last three seasons.

Goldey-Beacom is off until September 20, when both of its teams will compete at the GBC Fall Classic. The women's race at Carousel Park in Wilmington begins at 9:00 am and the men go at 9:45 am.
