Goldey-Beacom Gets Three on CACC Weekly Honor Roll

Goldey-Beacom saw three of its student-athletes get on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll with junior Ivan Solis (La Chorrera, Panama) and sophomore Jake Heskett (Derwood, MD) making it for Baseball and senior Aaron Easter (Elkton, MD) feted for Men's Track & Field.

Solis batted .435 on the week with 10 hits, a doubles, two home runs and nine RBI. He collected four hits in game one Wednesday vs. No. 21 Wilmington with a double, two home runs and four RBI in Goldey-Beacom's 12-10 upset. Solis also had three hits and two RBI in game one Saturday at Nyack, ending with a hit in five of the six contests.

Solis has been on a tear lately with hits in seven of his last eight contests, which included four multi-hit contests in that span. He is 15th in the league with three home runs and 71st with 24 hits.

Heskett recorded his first collegiate shutout, striking out four over seven innings and allowing just two hits Saturday in Goldey-Beacom's 5-0 victory at Nyack.

Heskett is 13th in the league with a .203 batting average against and also owned a 2.25 ERA.

Easter ended second in the 10,000-meter run in 32:55.14 at the Millersville Metrics.

Easter is back for with one year of eligibility remaining after being a three-time All-CACC performer for cross country from 2013-15. His final campaign for cross country in 2015 saw him win the GBC Fall Classic for one of his four top-10 finishes that season.
