(2016 schedule)

Goldey-Beacom had plenty to celebrate a season ago and looks to carry that momentum into this year as the squad announced it 2016 schedule.

The slate begins September 4 with a home date vs. Barton before the team make the long trip to Murfreesboro, NC for a contest three days later at Chowan.  The Lightning begin play in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference on September 10 at Nyack.

A four-game homestand in September opens the 13th against Queens (NY) and ends the 20th vs. Georgian Court, which last season went undefeated during regular-season CACC play.  GBC then plays four of its next five games on the road, with the lone game in Pike Creek being Homecoming Weekend on October 1 against Felician.

The Lightning are home October 12 vs. reigning CACC champion Philadelphia U. and league play ends October 26 at home against Wilmington (DE).

The league's top eight teams make the CACC tournament, which starts October 31.  The semifinals and final will be held later that week in Lakewood, NJ.

GBC (8-10, 5-7 CACC) last season made the conference tournament a second straight year, marking the first time this happened since the squad went four consecutive seasons from 2003-06.

A key returnee this season is junior midfielder Amy Runciman (Luton, England), who last year was tabbed first team All-CACC, second team CCA All-East Region and third team NSCAA All-East Region.  She also closed eighth in the country with 0.56 assists per game, 12th with 10 assists, 31st with 1.67 points per game, and her 10 goals, 10 assists and 30 points all were among the top six single-season marks in school history.

Runciman enters the year tied for third in school history with 16 assists and 10th with 40 points.

Senior Cindell Aguirre (El Paso, TX) returns for her fourth season as the squad's starting goalkeeper.  A key part of the defense, she enters the year second in school history with eight shutouts, third with a 2.16 save percentage and fourth with 169 saves.

Junior Kelsey Vick (Clarksboro, NJ) closed third on the team last year with 17 points, senior Becca Cordo (Roosevelt, NJ) was fourth with 16 that included seven goals and sophomore Cliona Crammond (Wicklow, Ireland) amassed 13 points.
