News and Notes• After splitting a pair of non-conference matches against Saint Anselm and Cheyney on Saturday afternoon, the Lightning volleyball team has a quick turnaround tonight by hosting Nyack College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference matcha at the Joseph West Jones College Center ... Opening serve is slated for 6 p.m.
• Now 4-4 overall and 1-0 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, the Lightning have won three of their last four matches after Saturday's tri-match split ... They dropped a tough five-set loss against Saint Anselm before posting a three-set sweep over Cheyney in the final match of the day.
• Senior outside hitter
Kadi McCoy, who leads the CACC with 113 kills in eight matches this season, tallied a career-high 28 kills in the loss against Saint Anselm on Saturday afternoon while contributing a season-high 14 digs for her second "double double" of the season ... She also added nine kills with seven digs in the win over Cheyney.
• With a season-high 20 digs against Saint Anselm on Saturday, senior defensive specialist
Niki Receveur became the sixth player in Goldey-Beacom College volleyball history with at least 1,000 digs in their career ... Entering tonight's match, she is tied for fifth in school history with 1,013 digs ... Receveur will be honored in a brief ceremony prior to tonight's match.
• Receveur ranks sixth in the CACC this season with 112 digs in eight matches ... She had 20 digs against Virginia Union on Sept. 6 in addition to her 20-dig performance on Saturday.
• Junior setter
Danielle Cipolletti enters tonight's match as the CACC leader with 259 assists in eight matches after an impressive showing in Saturday's tri-match ... She became the first Lightning player to post 50 assists in a match since
Danielle Hicks had a school-record 55 assists in a five-set match against Bloomfield during the 2005 season.
• Junior middle hitter
Innocent Early also had a solid performance in the tri-match against Saint Anselm and Cheyney on Saturday, recording 14 kills in each match ... She posted a .429 hitting percentage in the win over Cheyney while recording a .273 hitting percentage in the five-set loss against Saint Anselm.
• After dropping a pair of matches at a tri-match at Chestnut Hill on Friday evening, the Warriors will be trying to earn their first win in eight matches this season ... Nyack has lost its last 11 matches, dating back to last season ... In addition, the Warriors have suffered four straight losses in a three-set fashion.
• Freshman outside hitter
Alexus Winters leads the Warriors with 50 kills in seven matches this year while freshman right side hitter
Lindsay Miller has contributed 45 kills.
• Tonight's match marks the 22nd all-time meeting between the Lightning and the Warriors in a series Goldey-Beacom leads by a 12-9 margin ... However, the Warriors have won six of the last seven encounters in the series, including a three-set victory last year.
• The Lightning will begin a four-match road trip on Tuesday night when they visit Chestnut Hill for a 7 p.m. CACC South Division clash against the Griffins ... It will be the first of two matches between the two teams this season.
