News and Notes
• Returning to action after a nine-day break, the Lightning women's soccer team will play its first home match of the season this afternoon by hosting Caldwell University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest at Nancy Churchman-Sawin Field ... Opening kickoff between the Lightning and Cougars is slated for 1 p.m.

• Now 1-0-0 on the season, the Lightning will be opening their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference schedule when they host the Cougars this afternoon ... They have been idle since claiming a 2-0 victory over the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown on Sept. 4.

• Junior forward Megan Harvis earned an honorable mention selection for the CACC Player of the Week award on Tuesday after scoring a goal with an assist in the victory over Pitt-Johnstown ... She posted an assist on the Lightning's first goal before scoring just over a minute into the second half to increase the advantage to 2-0.

• Freshman goalkeeper Marie Goodman made six saves in her college debut last Thursday while earning the first shutout of her college career.

• Currently 0-3-0 on the season, the Cougars dropped their first CACC contest on Wednesday afternoon with a 5-0 loss against Post ... Since scoring two goals in the season opener against Southern New Hampshire, the Cougars have been outscored by a 9-0 margin.

• Senior forward Melissa Stec scored both of the Cougars' goals in the season opener against Southern New Hampshire while senior forward Natalie Migoya and senior defender Lauren Iuliucci each have an assist.

• The Cougars claimed a 6-0 victory in last year's meeting against the Lightning ... Caldwell leads the all-time series by a 9-4-0 margin and has won the last seven matches against Goldey-Beacom.

• After today's match, the Lightning will be idle until Thursday, Sept. 18 when they host Philadelphia University in a CACC contest at 3 p.m.
