News and Notes• Returning to action after a nine-day break, the Lightning women's soccer team will play its first home match of the season this afternoon by hosting Caldwell University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest at Nancy Churchman-Sawin Field ... Opening kickoff between the Lightning and Cougars is slated for 1 p.m.
• Now 1-0-0 on the season, the Lightning will be opening their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference schedule when they host the Cougars this afternoon ... They have been idle since claiming a 2-0 victory over the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown on Sept. 4.
• Junior forward
Megan Harvis earned an honorable mention selection for the CACC Player of the Week award on Tuesday after scoring a goal with an assist in the victory over Pitt-Johnstown ... She posted an assist on the Lightning's first goal before scoring just over a minute into the second half to increase the advantage to 2-0.
• Freshman goalkeeper
Marie Goodman made six saves in her college debut last Thursday while earning the first shutout of her college career.
• Currently 0-3-0 on the season, the Cougars dropped their first CACC contest on Wednesday afternoon with a 5-0 loss against Post ... Since scoring two goals in the season opener against Southern New Hampshire, the Cougars have been outscored by a 9-0 margin.

• The Cougars claimed a 6-0 victory in last year's meeting against the Lightning ... Caldwell leads the all-time series by a 9-4-0 margin and has won the last seven matches against Goldey-Beacom.
• After today's match, the Lightning will be idle until Thursday, Sept. 18 when they host Philadelphia University in a CACC contest at 3 p.m.
