Final ITA Division II East Region Women's Tennis Rankings

WILMINGTON, Del.
- After earning the fourth NCAA Division II East Regional Tournament appearance in school history, the Goldey-Beacom College women's tennis team has finished the 2013-14 season ranked fifth in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II East Region rankings, it has been announced by ITA officials.

In addition, junior Stephanie Puentes Robinson (Bogota, Colombia) earned the No. 11 singles position in the final ITA regional rankings.

Led by Puentes Robinson, the Lightning posted a 12-6 record and reached the first round of the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament before dropping a 5-0 decision against nationally-ranked Queens College. It marked the fifth time in the last six years that the Lightning have won at least 12 matches.

Meanwhile, Puentes Robinson earned first team All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference notice for the third consecutive season and ended the year with an 11-9 singles record, including a 5-3 mark against CACC opponents. She will enter her senior season with a 42-15 career singles record and needs just four victories to break the Lightning's career singles wins record.

The Lightning are expected to return six of their eight letter winners from this year's team.

Goldey-Beacom is one of three schools from the CACC to be listed in the final East Region rankings. Concordia College, which won the CACC championship, was ranked second while Chestnut Hill was ranked fourth.
