Women’s Tennis Announces 2026 Spring Schedule

1/13/2026 12:00:00 AM

(2026 schedule)

After another solid fall campaign, Goldey-Beacom takes to the court for the 2026 spring season with five matches.

Goldey-Beacom opens things March 20 against West Chester and continues the next day vs. Millersville.  Those will be the squad's only two matches this spring at The Independence School in Newark.

GBC visits East Stroudsburg on March 28, Kutztown on April 4 and Shippensburg on April 11.

Sophomore Camilla Franzin (Trieste, Italy) stepped into the top spot both in doubles and singles and this played a major role in her being picked first team All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.  Franzin went 7-1 in doubles and 6-1 in singles with her only singles loss coming in a third-set tiebreak against Wilmington's Siana MacDonald, the league's Co-Player of the Year.

Freshman Jenna Frank (Ulm, Germany) also has been a welcomed addition and was rewarded in being tabbed second team All-CACC, recording a 6-4 singles record and a 6-5 doubles mark.  She is 4-2 in third singles, 2-1 at No. 2 and had to play number one against regular-season champion Jefferson when injuries beset the squad.  Frank has a 5-2 record at No. 2 doubles with victories in five of her last seven matches.

Senior Lucia Corte (Gijon, Spain) teamed with Franzin to post a 6-1 doubles mark, all at No. 1 doubles, and won their first four matches.

The duo enters the spring ranked seventh in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Division II East Region Rankings and Franzin is ranked 19th in singles.

Senior Nahomi Quinonez (Manta, Ecuador) looks to capture the same magic that saw her picked CACC Rookie of the Year in 2023-24.  She recorded five doubles victories, three at No. 2 doubles and four singles triumphs with three of them at number two.

Sophomore Ihsane Achouri (Casablanca, Morocco) notched two doubles wins in the fall and senior Elina Mukhamadeeva (Kazan, Russia) recorded two singles victories.  They seek to continue helping the program in addition to freshman Ana Thaler (Slovenia), who will compete both in tennis and track & field in the spring.

The Lightning made it back to the CACC Tournament for the second consecutive year, clinching the third seed for championship weekend.  The team also was the CACC Sportsmanship Award.
