Goldey-Beacom Sees Two Student-Athletes Grab Three Monthly Awards from the CACC

Goldey-Beacom took home three monthly awards from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference with freshman Jenna Frank (Ulm, Germany) named Women's Tennis Player and Rookie of the Month and freshman Matteo Sasdelli (Florence, Italy) tabbed Men's Golf Rookie of the Month.

Named second team All-CACC last fall, Frank went 2-1 over singles play in March and 1-2 in doubles. She gutted her way to a 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-1) on March at No. 2 singles over West Chester's Ashleigh Grooms. This was after Frank and sophomore Camilla Franzin (Trieste, Italy) teamed for a 6-1 triumph at first doubles.

Frank is 9-5 on the season in singles and 8-7 in doubles.

Sasdelli closed third at the Jefferson Invitational with 144, played March 19-20. This included an opening-round 67 that featured five birdies.

Sasdelli has five top-10 finishes on the season, including his last three events. He was fifth from October 9 at the Husky Invitational, third at the Jefferson Invitational and fourth from April 6-7 at the Edwin Cottrell Invitational.
