Women’s Tennis Handed 4-3 Loss at Millersville

Goldey-Beacom went up to Millersville and was dealt a 4-3 loss in Millersville, PA.
 
Senior Nahomi Quinonez (Manta, Ecuador) and sophomore Ihsane Achouri (Casablanca, Morocco) won their match at No. 2 doubles, 6-4, over Annika Rojas and Duda Barreto before GBC dropped the doubles point.
 
The Lightning then got three singles wins.  Freshman Jenna Frank (Ulm, Germany) notched a 6-4, 6-4 triumph at second singles over Mia Gassert, Quinonez recorded a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles over Barreto with Achouri getting a 6-1, 6-2 victory at fifth singles over Callie Culbertson.
 
Goldey-Beacom is back in action next Saturday, when it visits East Stroudsburg for an 11:00 am match.
