Wilmington, Del.- The Goldey-Beacom Lightning Women's Soccer team will travel to Post University this afternoon to begin the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference playoffs to take on the Eagles in the quarterfinal round.

The Lightning are an impressive 6-1-1 in their last eight contests, five of those six wins have been away from Nancy Churchman-Sawin Field. The Lightning are 8-1 in road games this season with their only road loss coming at the hands of Post University back on September 20th. The Lightning were defeated 5-1 at Post with four goals scored from the Eagles forward Renel Dennis.

The Lightning will look to avenge the early season loss as they are atop the CACC with 43 goals scored this season. Senior forward Alexandra Smith (Pennsville H.S./ Pennsville, N.J.) has scored 12 goals this season, which is good for third place in the CACC. Other offensive standouts for the Lightning this season include Nicole Curry (Lenape H.S./ Mount Laurel, N.J.) with eight goals, Megan Harvis (Delran H.S./ Delran, N.J.) with six goals and Danielle Semenza (Hazleton Area H.S./Hazle Township, Pa.) also with six goals.

The Lightning have benefitted from great goaltending over the last two weeks as Cindell Aguirre (Coronado H.S./ El Paso, Texas) has posted an impressive 5 wins, 1 loss record. Aguirre boasts a .897 save percentage and a minute .49 goals against average appearing in seven games played this season.

Should the Lightning advance following today's contest, they will play the winner of the Holy Family University, Georgian Court University game which is scheduled for today at 2:00 PM.
